I first tried something from this brand three years ago in an advent calendar from Space NK, a cleanser, and then last year in the Net-A-Porter calendar had the Clay Mask; I adore that one for smoothing little bits of congested skin. So all my experiences with OMORAVICZA have been positive, so I’m thrilled to dive into this skin program with them.
If you haven’t come across Omorovicza, they are a premium European brand coming from Budapest, Hungary. The brand is founded on the foundations of natural mineral-rich spring waters and with science and the process of Bio-fermentation to make these minerals bioavailable to the skin.
Omorovicza ‘The Cure’ is a 9-day skin program | $283 USD | with 2ml glass ampoules for each day designed to be used in the night. I followed the program entirely, so let’s see what I thought.
The intensive programme is designed in three rational phases. Starting off with Resurface & Brighten (ended up being my favourite stage), this is your acid stage. It makes complete sense to start with renewing the skin and aking away tired, dull skin before introducing some lush ingredients. Even after the first and second day, my skin was GLOWING; and so smooth!
Phase 1: Aqua (Hungarian Thermal Water), Sodium Lactate, Glycolic Acid, Maltodextrin, Mandelic Acid, Protease, Sodium Hyaluronate, Benzyl Alcohol.
The next phase is where Omoroviczas patented Healing Concentrate™ with the mineral water I mentioned earlier comes into play. The serum texture also contains ginseng, which is calming while reducing inflammation, so good for skin with caffeine that stimulates circulation. Does sound a little counteracting.
Phase 2: Aqua (Hungarian Thermal Water), Saccharomyces (Hungarian Thermal Water) Ferment Extract, Phospholipids, Ethyl Ximeninate, Lecithin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Caffeine, Maltodextrin, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol.
Finally, it’s the oil blend phase using skin-identical oil, squalane, and chia seed oil, plus plant seeds and nut oils to aid in strengthening the skin barrier.
Phase 3: Salvia Hispanica Seed Oil, Caryodendron Orinocense Nut Oil, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Opuntia Ficus Indica Seed Oil, Squalane, Parfume (Fragrance), Tocopherol, Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol, Eugenol, Benzyl Benzoate, Farnesol, Citronellol.
Yes, this is a little pricey and indulgent; however, may I say. I actually shared this with my husband! After opening the first night’s ampoule, half was already so much on my face and chest. So rather than using the leftovers in the morning, I thought it would be nice for him to join in the 9 days treatment.
Next up are my daily notes, which I started just to keep track of my thoughts throughout the treatment. But I feel you could also find value in these unfiltered thoughts.
Daily notes:
DAY 1: Little cut on the finger first go, woke up with GLOWING skin.
DAY 2: Much of the same glow as the first day, make sure to open the glass capsule with a towel.
DAY 3: Still glowing, really confirmed my love for AHA’s, I need to use more.
DAY 4: Onto the next phase this creamy serum is harder to get out, with lots of tapping on the palm.
DAY 5: Nothing much to report
DAY 6: Have gotten the hang of these glass caps, but still be vigilant, sometimes I see I see little bits of I think glass in the serum on my palm before I apply.
DAY 7: The last phase is an oil type of serum, feels lovely on the skin
DAY 8: Enjoying this last phase, the oil is excellent for a facial massage before adding moisturiser on top. I do have a huge painful spot under the skin on my jaw, but so deep it’s probably hormonal.
DAY 9: Last day, I met some friends who I had not seen probably since starting this program. They mentioned my skin was glowing. I perked up and said oh it’s the skin program I’m doing especially from the first three days of it!
My concluding thoughts about this lux skin reset. It was the loveliest reset on my skin, in some ways more so than a facial, for a skin (here’s that word again; but it truly describes it) reset it
